National Blue Ribbon Award Winners Bronze Recognition Plaque

18" Round Cast Bronze Plaque $950.00 delivered It makes everyone here at Bux-Mont Awards happy to know we have such an amazing group of schools that are helping to educate today the youth of tomorrow. While we know how awesome and great they are, it is nice to see them gain some national recognition as well.   The Souderton Charter School Collaborative , a charter school in the Souderton School district and hopefully soon in the North Penn School District was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School . This is a very prestigious achievement and as such we are thankful to help them with their recognition needs and hope that through their utilization of a proper recognition program for their students and employees, they will continue to maintain their upward trajectory and help prepare our children for a productive and healthy future! Was your school a National Blue Ribbon School Award winner this year?  Please contact Bux-Mont ...

Enjoying the Summer Heat

Well here it is July already and while we have had slow periods the first half of this year sure seemed to fly by quick! While last year ended with a bang due to the acquisition of another trophy shop, this year to date has marked some historic projects in Bux-Mont Awards short history as well. We finished up our part in a awe inspiring Marines monument which is being dedicated this month, and we are right in the middle of our biggest trophy job to date, the Oaklane grands.   This national quarter midget race is so big that we had to rent a factory to produce the job.  Some statistics will follow in a future post. There are 350 trophies ranging in size from six to four feet. We are happy to have this opportunity as the people at Oaklane have been extremely good to us as a customer for over ten years now. If you are in the area at the end of July you should definitely stop by to see a race!

2009 and beyond, serving the people who support us

Bux-Mont Awards wouldn't be here with out you. You are the ones who know and understand the benefits of effective recognition. You are the major proponent of the values we espouse. The key component in these underlying conditions neccessary to enable us to do what we do. Without you we would be just another lost business not sure of its way. We need you. We are here for you. To that end we regret to inform you of the recent need that arose to better enable us to serve you. Due to a rent increase of 30% at the beginning of the 2009 we have been forced to vacate our Harleysville store and continue operations out of our existing Sellersville store. We are still selling awards, and in fact we are still selling trophies, plaques and all of our recognition products. The only difference is that there will be one less location to visit to see how many different ways we can meet your recognition needs. Please keep in mind that Sellersville is very close to Harleysville and is a 1...

Fall Soccer Trophy Specials

These are some of the great specials we have going on right now in the fourth quarter with Soccer. Take advantage now through the end of the year to affordably recognize youth sports participation. These trophies enable your club to truly appreciate your childrens achievements and hard work during what can be a grueling soccer season. These kids deserve recognition and praise for making it, and they want to be told they did a good job. They want the positive reinforcement. This will help them come back again next year, it will show them that their efforts don't go unrewarded, and it will engage them in the sport, teaching them lessons that they will take with them for life.

Benefits of Holiday Giving

When holiday time rolls around, showing appreciation to clients and the people on your team can prove to be a smart move for encouraging more business and productivity in the office. Give gifts of golf shirts, wovens, tees, fleece, or caps tastefully decorated with your logo, and you can increase the benefits to corporate identity programs. Consider these opinions of small business owners when asked about holiday gift giving: Over 75% feel it helps improve their business Over 55% believe it leads to increased sales Over 70% consider it an important part of their marketing effort Over 85% believe it improves employee morale

Interesting Awards & Recognition Statistics

Statistics cited from a 2002 NAER Survey show some interesting things about recognition and the businesses that utilize recognition programs in their organizations. Far and away the most interesting stat that popped out right away was that 84% of businesses reported having an active employee recognition program. Additionally, even as the economy cools, recognition programs seem to be gaining in popularity with 41% of respondents indicating they are doing more with their recognition programs then they were 12 months ago. Of the people without a recognition program, over half said they are looking into starting one within the next 12 months. Another interesting stat include the reasons for having a recognition program. Tops on this list is creating a positive work environment, but other reasons include reinforcing desired behaviors, motivating high performance, increasing morale and supporting organizational values. The key is not just implementing a recognition program to achieve y...

Featured Products

It's the time of year when parents are busy readying their kids for school, and everyone is wishing summer was just a couple weeks longer. We will take this opportunity, these last couple days of the summer, to spotlight certain products that are sure to succeed in creating lasting memories and building better lives through recognition. Enjoy! NEW RESINS These resins create lasting impressions in the winners minds, and definitely will cause the event that the winner received the award at to be a memorable one. Resins offer the unique opportunity to change up your awards without compromising quality, and even creating a greater perception of quality, while saving on costs. Resins come in many shapes and sizes. Some, like the bowling resin from PDU pictured above, come hand painted, while others are offered in different sizes. For previous jobs we have taken resins and used them to create custom team trophies for tournaments. These are great because no one has ever used ...

Our towns, our teams.

If you are anything like me, and I know in this area that there are thousands of us, you are an avid follower of professional sports and our Philadelphia teams. You are also well aware of the heartache we as Philadelphia sports fans have had to endure in recent years, and some of your kids are growing up not knowing what it's like to get Playoff Fever or know what it's like even going to the finals. This is really unfortunate, especially because we are such a passionate bunch and want nothing more than a winner in this town. We are an area full of winners, rich traditions, and also great heartache. Being in the awards and recognition business, knowing what goes into championships, and the sacrifice and blood sweat and tears involved, I know it's not as easy as it looks to build a winner. It often seems, though, that things never work out even remotely close to as planned, as evidence with the Freddy Garcia debacle that is currently surrounding the Philadelphia Phillies ...

The culture of praise in the workplace

Heard this on NPR today, and thought it was pretty interesting, or at least interesting enough to share with you. It was about our, or my generations need for praise, not just in the workplace, but for life in general. Maybe it's just because I sell products that help people recognize achievement, but I do not see this as a bad thing. One caller said that we should blame Mr. Rogers, but again I can't see why we need to blame anyone. People need recognition . It doesn't need to be over the top recognition, but a pat on the back goes a long way for most all people. Even adults like getting recognized for a job well done. We are a society that thrives on motivation and in this day and age, we need to do whatever we can to get the most out of our human resources. These are the biggest asset of any company and should be watched closely. People make and sell the things. People make relations and believe in the products they are buying and paying the prices they...

Recognition

rec·og·ni·tion - Noun 1. an act of recognizing or the state of being recognized. 2. the acknowledgment of achievement, service, merit, etc. 3. the expression of this in the form of some token of appreciation: This promotion constitutes our recognition of her exceptional ability. 4. formal acknowledgment conveying approval or sanction Let's not forget heading into this new year how important recognition really is. The need for personal recognition is innate in all humans, and is something unique to our species. When a fawn walks for the first time, it does not look to it's mother for approval, rather it starts frolicking on its new found sturdy legs. Humans, when striving to achieve, look to others for approval and use this approval to motivate them to try harder. Kids who play youth sports may not necessarily seek the recognition, though the more they get recognized the more they strive to try harder and be their best. A game winning home run would not be nearly as ...
