Another goal we will be focusing on this year is to do more with less. We all know that as gas prices have been rising the focus has been on more environmentally friendly methods of doing anything and everything. We at Bux-Mont Awards are no different. It especially hit home for me as this past year marked the birth of our newest child, Graham Ross. We welcomed him to this place on April the 29th. We have been using two trash bags per week, not bad for a family of four, but that increases throughout the holidays.
We doubled our recycling efforts both at home and at work, and are now proud to have found a home for all the packaging peanuts that we get in, rather than throwing them out, and also we recycle all of our scrap aluminum and brass. It adds up too. By recycling our cardboard and paper, we are using less trash services, which leads to less waste in the landfills. Safer for our kids, safer for us. This is just one of the many things we are doing to work towards greener methods of recognizing achievements.
