Is it that time already?

No! We are just ahead of the game this year. We are feverishly working in order to prepare our store for the holidays. It seems like we have to be ready earlier than most because of Sellersville annual winterfest event held on the first Tuesday in December. (this year it's december 2)

The community comes out in droves to support this wonderful event as the local businesses and organizations open their doors to welcome in the holidays. With carolers, Santa Claus and a tree lighting ceremony, the Sellersville Winterfest is an event looked forward to by many of Sellersvilles citizens.

My favorite part, aside from Bux-Mont Awards annual Christmas themed fridge magnet giveaway and cookies, is the Sellersville Museums annual tree decorating contest.

Trees are decorated by different members of the community and then everyone votes with their money. Change is collected in a jar placed in front of each tree, and the one with the most money at the end wins a prize. The change is then donated to a needy organization!

As children are participating in their respective leagues we are going to highlight some youth basketball participation awards for 2009. These awards are altogether fun for the children and inexpensive for the adults. While they offer maximum enjoyment for the kids they offer maximum success to the youth organization giving the trophies out and also help out the bottom line. November means...

I know, I know, I don't want to think about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday let alone Christmas. With these tumultuous times we are dealing with and the massive amount of change being undertaken, let's show this world that we can let the Phillies pick us up.
